Summary/Abstract: The rudiments of the Stanisław Jachowicz Archive deposited in the National Library in Warsaw contain several sets of manuscripts that are important for researching the poet’s pedagogical and educational theory in the context of his orthodox Catholic worldview. Three volumes of carefully written Diaries concerning the psychophysical development of Jachowicz’s sons and Poems devoted to his own family show him as a father aware of his parental duties, and at the same time creative, writing literary miniatures for his children focused around recognizable for them circumstances. Both Diaries and poems contain reflections and lessons based on altruism and mercy, values that defined the lives of Jachowicz and his wife.
