Summary/Abstract: This volume of journal of National Archives in Prague is an attempt to restore the tradition of editing of monograph conceived volumes. National Archives was inspired to this „experiment“ by several foreign journal in field of archival science, above all by french La Gazette des Archives. As a initial attempt was chosen topic „Records Management and Pre-archival care“. We believe, this issue is very dynamic, interdisciplinary and also with theoretical and practical bases. This volume contains a total of 18 studies, further divided into four parts: general studies, case studies to home and foreign issues and reflections and memories.
