Summary/Abstract: The paper is a sketchy presentation of Stanislaw Gajda’s achievements in textology,genology and discourseology. It draws attention to the research attitude of the scholar who consideredthe basic concepts, i.e. text, genre and discourse against a broad background, from various viewpoints,and in several perspectives.
