Summary/Abstract: The author tries to reconstruct the intellectual world of everyday peasant life at the turn of the 18th and 19th century base on books of „popular reading“ of Bohemia and Moravia. Individual chapters deal with problems of agricultural production, education, marriage, family and children rearing, sexuality and social role of farmers.
