Summary/Abstract: The text explains the understanding of the phenomenon of normality in the context of Husserl’s phenomenology. At the outset, it clarifies the terminological and etymological context of the concepts of normality, anomaly, abnormality, and also normativity. The basic characterization of normality is done through a static analysis of the attributes that constitute it, namely concordance, optimality, typicality, and familiarity. However, it turns out that static analysis is insufficient if we do not include in the analysis an answer to the question in relation to what normality thus described is applied. After this step, the constitution of normality inevitably turns out to be intersubjective normality. At the same time, taking intersubjectivity into account fully reveals that normativity constitutes a presupposition of any meaningful conscious experience because it is located within the possibility of experience as such.
