Summary/Abstract: The text deals with two figural reliquaries of the early Christian martyrs St. Felicissimus and St. Marcia brought from the Roman catacombs and donated to the Prague pilgrimage site Loreto. The text focuses on the acquisition of the relics, the circumstances of their transfer to Prague and the public veneration through liturgical celebrations. The second part of the article discusses in more detail the translation of the relics of St. Felicissimus, which took place on the occasion of the presence of Charles VI in Prague on the occasion of his coronation as King of Bohemia in 1723. This liturgical celebration of the transfer of the relics also became a celebration of the Habsburg dynasty. Similarly, the text points to the connection of this ‘new saint’ to the decoration of the place where the relics were deposited, the spirituality of the Capuchin order and the period theological teachings. The Capuchins and the founders of the Prague Loreto thus managed to combine the religious, theological, dynastic and cultural aspects.
