Summary/Abstract: The study focuses on important life aspects of Baroque noblewoman Johana Eusebia Barbara Imperial Countess of Žďár, first married Baroness Myslík of Hyršov and second married Imperial Countess of Caretto-Millesimo (*after 1630; Ť1709). In his study, the author follows her family background, property situation and religious devotion expressed by a generous support to the Cult of Virgin Mary, expecially to that of Our Lady of Mariahilf (of Passau) and later to the family cult of Our Lady of Millesimo. The Countess, born after 1630, was raised in a strictly catholic family, which influenced her subsequent life. As well as her siblings, she ardently supported the Cult of Our Lady of Mariahilf (of Passau) and later the family cult of Our Lady of Millesimo. Johana Eusebia Barbara first married in 1651 to one of generals from the Thirty Years’ War Zikmund Jan Baron Myslík of Hyršov (*1606, Ť1666). The imperial general and Feldmarschallleutnant lived with his wife mostly in a chateau in Pacov. Two sons were born from this marriage, both of them, however died shortly. The second spouse was Karel Leopold Imperial Count of Caretto-Millesimo (*1626; Ť1689). He held the rank of the chamberlain to Emperor Leopold I and originally came from a once powerful Italian margrave family of Savona. During her second marriage Johana Eusebia Barbara gave birth to several children, of which we know three sons and a daughter. These children survived to adulthood. Johana Eusebia Barbara of Žďár was a wealthy (and economically independent) woman. She was the owner of various estates, e. g. Pacov, Habry, Čechtice and Křivosudov or a part of the former family estate of Counts of Žďár (dominion in Kladno and Červený Újezd). A t the end of 17th century she was forced to sell most of her estates to help her indebted children.
