The beginnings of the Łoś family in Narol

Summary/Abstract: Founded in 1592 by Florian Łaszcz Nieledewski, the townof Florianów (today Narol) made up a complex of estates withthe surrounding villages, which was taken over by the Silnickifamily after the devastations of the mid-17th century. It becameincreasingly fragmented in the subsequent decades. In 1751, underfairly complicated circumstances the estates were bought by theCastellan of Kamieniec Michał Ludwik Łoś (d. 1756). This began thereconstruction and restructuring of the estates, which his son FeliksAntoni Łoś made the main ancestral nest by building a magnificentresidence.
