Trends on the Primary Real Estate Market and Changes in the Urban Land Usage Structure (the Example of the Metropolis GZM with the Special Reference to Katowice)

Summary/Abstract: This article aims at assessing the dynamics of change in the primary market for residential real estate in Katowice, taking into account the changing urban land usage patterns. The first part describes the trends in land use changes in Poland and then analyses the directions of land use changes in Katowice (detailing the analysis of the distribution of new residential developments). The second part examines changes in the primary market for residential properties in the Metropolis GZM, with the particular emphasis on Katowice. In addition, the article describes new housing policy instruments introduced to stimulate growth in the primary real estate market.
