Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to provide a critical and refl exive outline of studies related to cultural translation, taking into consideration it’s complexity and showing relevant and precise examples from diff erent cultures. In the second part of this article we classify in detail the cultural elements that appear in the Spanish translation of the poetry book Scene from the Movie GIANT, by Tino Villanueva, based on the theory of Lucía Molina (2006).
