Summary/Abstract: In Aymara society (highlands of Bolivia), a certain number of numerical sets are noteworthy, since they have specifi c names and correspond to what Olivier Keller calls quanta. In this article we will highlight some of them, in particular a tetrad called Pusisuyu, a fundamental quantum realized in various contexts that accounts for the relationship with time (past/present and future) and with local and cosmological space. Th e rotation of the traditional authorities of the ayllu throughout a four-year cycle highlights this quantum, which is also an expression of an attempt to neutralize the instability and imbalance inherent to dualism.
