Summary/Abstract: The study contains selected terminology in the field of heritage archiving, with particular emphasis on digital archiving issues. As materials for the subject dictionary, it includes entries in the following groups: (1) written heritage recorded on a traditional medium, (2) state of preservation of written heritage: research and counteracting threats, (3) types of heritage and its protection, (4) archives: types, features, goals, (5) digital heritage: new challenges, (6) systems, standards, file recording/description formats. The basis for preparing the entries was scientific literature (studies), content posted on the websites of im-portant institutions and official documents. The contributing study was created as a collective work during conversation classes, carried out in accordance with the program assumptions and learning outcomes presented in the syllabus of the Digital Archiving Methods subject.
