Summary/Abstract: In Romanian folk poetry, anonymous authors do not come to abstract images. The folk poet always felt the need of fulfillment, especially when he expressed states of mind, inner life experiences. This is the case of „dor” as well. Most of the times, the one overwhelmed by lonesomeness withdraws to his own, inner world. In spite of these, his experiences are not irrespective of space and time. There are mentioned here locations of the „dor” (forests, hills, the mountain, the well, the yard, the house, the doorstep as well) and moments favorite to wistfulness (the evening, night, and the afternoon altogether). Wherever he is, he himself overwhelmed by nostalgia deeply lives the absence of the beloved one.
