The role of the mediation in Polish as a foreign language for academic purposes

Summary/Abstract: Every year the number of foreign students at Polish universities is increasing. This imposes the need for a Polish language curriculum for academic purposes. The programme should not lack tasks to implement mediation activities – as described in the new version of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. This article presents the guidelines for mediation activities in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and their role in teaching Polish as a foreign language for academic purposes.
