Summary/Abstract: It is the moments of silence that maintain the dialogue instead of the characters, that let themselves be contextually characterized, bearing in general the pressure of the unlimited on the ordinary mortal’s shoulders. The scenes where silence plays are ample, non-limitation of time attracting an open space, exposed to interventions, where both the real and imaginary dialogues take place. The dilemma that appeared within the construction of the above phrase is given by the duality of the answer: on the one hand voiceless, assimilated to silence, and on the other hand uttered, as it results from the continuance created in a free style, connected to the art of dialogue. On an obscure and knowingly confuse background, the figures of speech Marin Preda operates with send off to the realm of ambiguity, where any opinion can come into existence. The presence of a frame-character, silence, is given by the informational strain it spreads either in adorning specks – epithets, figures of speech belonging to a precise characterization – or by assuming the humane brought up by personification.
