Summary/Abstract: Refluxul sensurilor, by Ana Blandiana (Humanitas Publishing House, Bucharest, 2004) is a volume which synthesizes the major themes of her literary work. Word and poem, regarded as the utmost expression of exact science are the coordinating lines of this universe. Human experience, ungrateful life adventure, in which survival is nothing but a way of renunciation are interwoven with the harmonious structure of poetry creating (highlighting) the apocalyptic vision of the world. The biblical allusions have the role to emphasize not only the monstrous, the indecent but also the denial of pre-established order. The language itself feels alienated and strange. Artistic creation is acknowledged the power of being triumphant over this Hamletian adventure between existing and not corresponding (not being able to adapt oneself), which reunites in its edifice the expression of creative master and the innocence and enthusiasm of the inexperienced writer. Emblematic regarding the accomplishment of a unique age, Refluxul sensurilor is a lay with recurrent metaphors and dominant symbols which comply with modernism.
