Summary/Abstract: Analysing the types of rhyme in the creation of Virgil Carianopol, could be noticed the temptation of the poet in using both rules that are peculiar to the traditional versification and also to modern versification. During the first period of his creation, the vanguard one, the poet’s tendency is for using the blank verse. In the second period, called by the reviewers ‘the traditional period”, could be pointed out the predominance of geminate rhyme. Bringing closer to the old age, the poet’s preferences are to the criss-cross rhyme. But, in his poems, the poet is not truthful to only one type of rhyme. He often practices, in the same poem, original collocations of rhymes.
