Summary/Abstract: This article provides a review of scientific research, the results of which determine the frequency of individuals with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) within a given population. The publication also contains information about specific diagnostic procedures used to identify syn- dromes within this spectrum. Furthermore, it presents statistical data illustrating the global prevalence of FASD. The central section of the text focuses on research conducted in various parts of the world, and reports based on diagnostic studies within specific social groups. The concluding section of the study delves into Polish research, describing the prevalence of prenatal exposure to alcohol intoxication in children, as well as the prevalence of students with FASD.
