Summary/Abstract: The issue of anti-communist intelligence resistance and the intelligence operations of Western secret services against Czechoslovakia at the start of the Cold War has only been partially processed in historiographical terms. The subject of agent-couriers linked to various exiled groups or Western intelligence services is closely related to the anti-communist intelligence resistance. One of the resistance groups consisted of the agent-courier network of Alexander Matúš, an officer of the Slovak Army who remained in exile in Austria after 1945, and began to cooperate with the French occupation authorities. In a detailed manner, the study in question maps the operations of agent-couriers connected to Alexander Matúš’s intelligence network in the wider context of the beginnings of the Cold War.
