Summary/Abstract: In this paper we will present and describe a recently discovered seal of Serbian grand župan (grand prince) Stefan Nemanja that was purchased for the Historical Museum of Serbia in Belgrade in 2023. It is a lead seal which in its characteristics follows the general sigillographic patterns of all previously known seals of Stefan Nemanja. However, this new seal of Nemanja does contain certain elements that are not present on any other preserved seal from this Serbian grand župan, which is why we will broaden the comparison to the lead seals of Nemanja’s brothers, princes Stracimir and Miroslav, as well as to a number of contemporary Byzantine lead bullae. Lastly, a special attention will be paid to the place of Nemanja’s newly discovered seal in the corpus of sigillographic material of Stefan Nemanja and to the implications of the finding for Nemanja’s sigillographic practice in general.
