Summary/Abstract: Between the figures shown on the pages of Old Testament, the prophets occupy an important place. They were faithful people, chosen by God to be His messengers to the Jewish people who deviated from the divine commandments. Prophets had inspirations, visions or they talked directly with God. They had the courage to face the Kings, even at the cost of their lives. Although most of the prophets were men, though there were cases when the women performed this function. This article presents two prophetesses of the Old Testament, Miriam and Huldah, focusing on their role in keeping the faith, emphasizing their courage and devotion.
