Summary/Abstract: The text discusses the dramatisation of Adam de la Halle’s 13th century pastourelle Le Jeu de Robin et Marion as a modern genre. This work was connected to the projects for modernising Russian theatre during the first decade of the 20th century. The essays offer an analysis of Evreinov’s Игра о Робене и Марион performed at the Old Theatre in 1907 within the context of theatralisation, theatricality and art synthesis.
