Summary/Abstract: Computer programming has become an increasingly important skill today, and acquiring this skill enables individuals to understand information technologies and be successful in their careers. This research aims to examine the difficulties encountered by 40 high school students in Adana during the computer programming education process, the problem-solving skills they developed and their learning experiences. The findings show that students generally begin their programming education in the first year of high school, that they initially experience difficulties with basic subjects such as syntax and algorithms, and that effective teaching methods play a key role in student motivation. In addition, it was determined that the problem-solving skills developed by the students focused especially on algorithm creation and debugging.
