Summary/Abstract: This research was conducted to understand science teachers' attitudes and practices towards studentcentered teaching approaches. The study focused on 20 science teachers working in Adana Sarıçam. An interview form was used as a data collection tool and the data obtained was evaluated using the content analysis method. Research findings show that teachers generally have a positive attitude towards studentcentered teaching. It has been determined that teachers tend to use student-centered strategies effectively in the classroom and that these strategies increase student participation. Teachers shared the positive experiences and challenges they encountered when adopting student-centered teaching practice. When the effects of the factors were examined, it was seen that student needs and support policies were decisive in teachers' adoption of student-centered teaching. Among professional development needs, technology education has become an important theme. The research reveals that teachers are open to collaboration and experience sharing, and they emphasize technology integration and student feedback in future practices. These findings can guide strategies and professional development programs to improve teachers' student-centered teaching practice.
