Summary/Abstract: This research aims to examine school administrators' environmental awareness and integration into education programs within the scope of sustainability in education. The role of educational institutions in the face of the prominent environmental problems of our age is the main focus of this study. The aim of the research is to understand the processes of school administrators' environmental awareness, adoption of sustainability policies and integration of environmental awareness-based education programs and to develop more effective strategies in this context. The research started by first addressing the environmental responsibilities, awareness and professional development of school administrators. In this context, school administrators' adoption of sustainability principles and policies, their professional development on environmental issues, and how they integrated environmental awareness into their corporate culture were examined. Another dimension of the research evaluated the impact of environmental awareness-based education programs on students. In this context, the achievements of the programs stand out as students increasing their environmental awareness, gaining sustainable life skills and developing positive attitudes towards environmental problems. Additionally, the long-term effects of these programs after graduation have provided promising findings on students' adoption of sustainable behaviors and maintaining environmental responsibility throughout their lives. Finally, the research addressed the process of integrating sustainability principles into educational programs. Findings on how to integrate sustainability principles and values into the curriculum, the role of school administrators in this process, and how to teach sustainability issues to students have provided a critical understanding of achieving sustainability goals in education. This research offers an important perspective on promoting sustainability in education and increasing environmental awareness. Findings on the leadership role of school administrators, the design and implementation of educational programs based on environmental awareness, and the integration of sustainability principles into curricula shed light on future steps for the education system.
