Summary/Abstract: This research aims to examine how social media is used in education and teachers' experiences of this use in order to increase student participation. The research, designed as a qualitative case study, was conducted with the participation of 10 teachers. An interview form was used as a data collection tool and the data obtained was evaluated using the content analysis method. Research findings show that teachers generally use social media platforms such as Instagram, Twitter and WhatsApp in their educational processes. Teachers prefer these platforms to increase in-class interaction, support information sharing and strengthen communication with students. However, difficulties encountered, such as technical problems and difficulty in student participation, can affect social media use. Within the scope of success stories, it was determined that teachers had positive experiences through the projects and the positive changes observed in student interaction reflected the influence of social media. Recommendations from the research emphasize factors such as sharing educational content, increasing interactive tasks and technical support for teachers for a more effective use of social media. The general evaluation part includes teachers' positive thoughts about the role of social media in education. It was emphasized that social media is seen as an effective tool in increasing student participation. The results of this research provide important information for educators, researchers and policy makers to understand the potential of social media in education and to use it more effectively.
