Summary/Abstract: The concepts of feminism and sexism are constantly being speculated upon. Instead of clarifying their content, thanks to the motives that determine their pragmatic functionality, it becomes increasingly blurred and manipulable. The purpose of the research is, with the help of the linguistic material involved, to analyze the grounds for one or another statement, which has acquired the status of almost an „ultimatum“ for an immediate change of the existing situation, and to propose a different conceptual angle of the problem. The research methods used are: cognitive-pragmatic, psycholinguistic, comparative and semantic-analytical. The results confirm the questionable status of linguistic sexism and shift the emphasis from the field of accusations to the opposite gender to personal self-improvement and fruitful communication, which would lead to a lasting and promising gender relationship.
