RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ACTION BY THE HUNGARIAN GOVERNMENT

Summary/Abstract: On the basis of discussions with many child protection professionals in Hungary and other research conducted on the situation of Romani children in the Hungarian child protection system, the ERRC urges the Hungarian government to adopt the following recommendations. It is the intention of the ERRC that the preceding proposals provide a roadmap for action by all relevant actors to ensure the equal treatment and equalisation of Romani children compared to non- Romani children in the Hungarian child protection system.
