Summary/Abstract: This year we remember the 90th anniversary of the death of Emperor and King Francis Joseph I. On this occasion the study presents three pictures from the life and reign of this prominent sovereign: Francis Joseph I as a symbol of continuity and stability, as a conscientious “first clerk” of the state and a Christian social politician.
