Summary/Abstract: The Druget family originates from France. Later, in the King’s service, they moved to Italy and from there, accompanied by Charles Robert, to Hungary. Among the most reliable were Philip I and John I Druget who became founders of the Hungarian branch of the Druget family. Four of the Drugets received, among others, the title “palatín” - second highest post in the country after the king.
