Summary/Abstract: The article examines the conceptual and image transformations in the screen adaptations of Haitov’s short story The Goat Horn – by Metodi Andonov from 1972 and by Nikolay Volev from 1994, tracing the changes in cultural attitudes over the years. The aim is to rethink the meaning of one of the most emblematic films in Bulgarian cinematography, the possible transformations of a literary work into a feature film, showing the Bulgarian experience in this regard, and most of all to offer a contemporary feminist reading of the work, also placing it within the rape-revenge genre.
