When Thunder Strikes, the Echo Fades or the iceberg of time in Yavorov’s last play

Summary/Abstract: As a playwright, Yavorov traveled the road from the neo-romanticism of At the Foot of Vitosha to When Thunder Strikes, the Echo Fades, which is already in the spirit of the modern drama of Ibsen, Strindberg, Maeterlinck, Chekhov. Beyond the poetics of drama, in Yavorov’s last play one can sense the poet’s tragic premonitions of his life and his homeland.
