Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the problem of the construction of man by the socio¬cultural environment from the point of view of factors that determine the subjec¬tive experience and understanding of phenomena such as health and illness. Vo¬luntary, non-violent character of construction is ensured to a large extent through the means of mass information, which represent an effective instrument for the formation of man as a mass-passive object of socio-cultural metamorphoses. He¬alth is shown as an institution that determines universal norms and pathology at all levels of human life (physical, psychological and social). This research of the image of health in SMI as a kind of „anthropological measure" allows us to indicate some coordinates according to which modern man constructs his body and psyche.
