Summary/Abstract: The photographic cycle My weddings by Stanka Tsonkova-Usha is rich in metamorphoses both on a formal and a semantic level. The aim of this study is, on the one hand, to present the result of their meeting and, on the other hand, to examine the contribution of using similar approaches in the construction of a work. Here, photomontages that alter the material allow even more vivid revelation of the changes that the depicted object undergoes. Creating a series of wedding portraits, Usha looks back, exploring her roots and seeking answers to the questions: “Who am I? Where am I from? Why am I here?”.
