Summary/Abstract: Apparently rhetorical, the question in the title of this essay is an appeal to democratic thinking that today, amid the military invasion of Ukraine by the neo-fascist Putinist regime, is faced with a terrible sense of insecurity. Responding to this appeal, the present essay proposes, as a posthumous tribute to the anti-fascist democratic thinker Petre Andrei, a self-reflexive-therapeutic exercise for exploring the feeling of insecurity in a political world increasingly insecure.
