Summary/Abstract: The paper, starting from Petre Andrei’s Fascism, elicit a reflection on some crucial subjects which characterize the interpretation of the Italian dictatorship that came from the Romanian sociologist. In particular, here are elaborated the relationship between elitism and criticism of democracy, the biological connotation of the concept of nation, the rejection of parliamentarism, in the political, social and institutional twisting made by Andrei, who catches the novelty represented by Italian Fascism, that is connected to the more general crisis of the European liberal State, occurred after the First World conflict.
