Summary/Abstract: The information was obtained with the questionnaire method, and there were about 1 074 students of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice analyzed within the topic of lifestyle aspects among the student population. The focus on the subject of the evalution of abilities to resist and eliminate the stress shows that around 30 per cent of questioned students cope the stress situations without problems and only 9 per cent of students have big problems with coping with these situations. However, this reality is not reflected in other results which show that 22 per cent of questioned students know the techniques how to control the stress. Nevertheless, 33 per cent of students do not know these techniques. It stems out of the questionnaire that the ability to control the stress situations does not depend on the awareness of anti-stress techniques inevitably, but it also depends on other abilities and knowledge of students.
