Summary/Abstract: Digitization and the Internet have radically transformed our lives. We would become part of a virtual world in a continuous process of global expansion. Today, personal data are no longer recorded in paper registers as they used to be. They are registered in centralized electronic registers that can be accessed by various state institutions, including law enforcement bodies. Thus, information technologies have become part of our daily life, it is practically inconceivable that it bypasses such an important and strategic field for our country as the special investigation activity. If until recently the main problem of special investigations was the lack of information and the development of appropriate tools for obtaining information, today things have changed, the basic problem now is different – the surplus of information and the search for appropriate methods of storage, systematization, and analysis of them.
