Summary/Abstract: One of the biggest myths of the Stalinist propaganda in the USSR was the myth of the friendship of nations under the auspices of the senior Russian nation. This myth was expertly replicated and introduced into the consciousness of many millions of Soviet people. The forms of its introduction were different. One of these forms can be called a mass flow of journalistic and poetic letters by nations to Stalin, which flooded the Soviet press in 1930–1940s. Poetic letters to Stalin – an interesting literary phenomenon in the service of Stalinist propaganda.
