Cooperation Between Municipalities in Microregion and Civic Participation

Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the definition of the term of microregion, why it is there, what it is for and what its benefits are. The other definition of the term is the Local Active Group. There is a particular emphasis on the possibility of obtaining grant funds for the implementation of various projects, no matter if in its territory or in individual communities, which are parts of the region. It is an effort to familiarize themselves with the problems of regions in terms of successful or unsuccessful execution of grant funds. The role of civic cooperation in solving problems is emphasised, as well as interests in the objective of sustainable development of the shared areas.
