Summary/Abstract: The oral hearing is an institute that is used in certain cases by administrative bodies in the procedures of public administration to speed up and simplify them. The participants in proceedings are guaranteed the right to participate in the oral hearing in order to be able to take an active part in it and to carry out the relevant acts. The aim of the paper is to clarify the procedures for conducting an oral hearing, to evaluate its benefits and to focus on the role of the participant in proceeding at the oral hearing under the Code of Administrative Procedure and under certain special legal regulations.
