Location Decision-Making Criteria for Investment in Ostrava Agglomeration

Summary/Abstract: The conditions and factors of location play the significant role within investment decision-making. Therefore the paper deals with the evaluation of location factors’ significance for investment specified in the case study in the Ostrava agglomeration. Firstly, the basic theoretic introduction to location decision-making is presented. Then it focuses on the method and evaluation of thematic questionnaire, which localized foreign companies or companies with foreign ownership interest and intermediary institutions filled in. The conclusions clearly reflect the importance of human capital and labour market conditions but also the technological and infrastructure level and business preferences.
