Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the question of the status of the Czech intelligence services as a mandatory subject under the Freedom of Access to Information Act and critically analyses the current legislation in this area. The paper contains de lege ferenda consider¬ations that could contribute to a balanced solution to the potential conflict between the interests of transparency and legitimate secrecy.
