Summary/Abstract: The presented article focuses on securing of electronic (digital) data from data carriers. The relevance of the topic is determined by the forthcoming recodification of the Criminal Procedure Code, within the framework of which certain changes in this area are proposed. Therefore, the aim of the article is in particular to analyze the draft of the new Criminal Procedure Code in this area and to compare it with the legal systems of Slovakia, Poland and Austria.
