Summary/Abstract: Recalling the 25 years of the Rural Renewal programme in Poland, it was worthmaking some summaries, recalling its inspirations and actions undertaken in variousplaces in Poland. This was the purpose of the conference held in Gogolin in 2022. Peopleinvolved in various ways in the rural renewal in Poland met there. This article summarisesthe author’s thoughts and conclusions. The article contains reflections from the perspectiveof a participant in the rural renewal process, a trainer disseminating this programme,a leader inspiring its activities in the countryside where he lives and a researcher trying tocapture the elements of social change that take place on this occasion. Besides the reviewof these perspectives, there is also a reference to the inclusion of rural renewal as a subsidyprogramme financed from European funds and the resulting complications, but also positiveeffects.
