Summary/Abstract: The present paper sets out some guidelines for a strategy based on the comparison of Romanian and French and outlines some ways of learning the French negation by the native speakers of Romanian; the paper also points out a number of difficulties they face in assimilating negation in French. By highlighting some difficulties in assimilating the new language, based on the contrastive analysis, these must be taken into consideration and ameliorated, to prevent the occurrence of the default errors. The process of mastering a language is highly conditioned by the practicing of the studied language, i.e. a system of applications / structural exercises based on similarity and opposition within a language, to allow the formation of spontaneous speech and understanding skills.
