Summary/Abstract: Bosnia and Herzegovina's society is characterized by rapid demographic development, which is reflected in the trends of a marked decline in the birth rate, a fertility rate that is below the limit of simple reproduction, a drastic drop in the rate of formal marriages, postponement of marriage for later years and the birth of the first child, a significant increase in extramarital unions (cohabitation), and the increase in out-of-wedlock births and single-parent families. Young people today have greater preferences towards education, material security, after that they devote themselves to family. Taking into account the above, the subject of the research is the attitudes of female students towards marriage and family. This paper presents the results of research conducted among female students of the Faculty of Islamic Pedagogy in Zenica in the period April - May 2023. The goal of the research is, in the context of low fertility in Bosnia and Herzegovina, to examine the attitudes of female students who are preparing to enter the labor market according to family and population policy measures. The scientific goal of the research was related to the need to acquire knowledge that will enable young people to have a clearer understanding of marriage and family. The obtained results show that the researched sample of the female student population has clearly expressed views on issues related to marriage, family and family policy measures. The results indicate the need to design a better population pronatalist policy, in terms of improving child allowances, maternity benefits and other one-time family benefits, maternity leave for both parents, incentive housing, credit and tax policies, comprehensive health care for mother and child, differentiated price policy for certain products for children, flexible working hours for mothers with children up to a certain age, and other material and non-material benefits for children.
