Stakeholder Approach to Tourism Management

Summary/Abstract: This paper is focused on a problem of tourism development planning with an emphasis on the issue of regional stakeholders’ involvement into the implementation phase of regional strategy. It refers to the importance of collaboration with regional stakeholders for tourism development in a particular destination. The paper suggests a methodology for the Stakeholder Analysis. Within its framework it maps the destination stakeholders and their mutual links; and it also examines their satisfaction with the process of implementation of regional development strategy. The Stakeholder Analysis was carried out in the Region of South Bohemia which was selected as a testing area for verification of suggested methodology.
