Speak UP! As an Example of Innovative Education

Summary/Abstract: Speak UP! is a new project of the Euro Atlantic Centre, which in its two phase form focuses on topics that have long been absent from secondary education, despite their importance and resonance in society. This year, the first edition of the project took place on the occasion of the Eu ropean Year of Youth, focusing on the priority themes of the European Union that emerged from the Conference on the Future of Europe. The selected topics hybrid threats and disinformation, the importance of the European Parliament elections, environmenta l protection, climate change, migration issues, and the current situation in Ukraine were adapted to foster critical thinking and debating skills among secondary school students.
