Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to provide an overview of existing research on the attitudes of Czech society towards people with minority sexual orientation. In the introductory part the key terminology is explained because it tends to be used inaccurately and inconsistently in various studies. A brief interpretation of the fundamental theoretical concepts and identification of several pitfalls associated with the included studies is followed by an overview of existing surveys of attitudes towards LGBT population conducted in the Czech Republic since 1989. The integrative review consists of five studies published in professional journals and monographs (1 surveillance and 4 empirical), selected according to a predetermined criteria, and accompanied by the results of regular surveys carried out by the Institute of Sociology. Individual studies were interpreted in terms of research questions, examined entities, the methodology chosen, the results and limitations. The main objective of this study is to contribute to the systematization of knowledge in the research of attitudes of the Czech population towards sexual minorities and predict future trends in this area.
